Fab for tangles. As a hairdresser I loved it 👏
I’m a grumpy menopausal professional hairdresser with chemically dry hair and now fragile hair due to the menopause and I wasn’t expecting too much from this but I’m over the moon with it. After shampooing my hair but before conditioning, (it always clumps together like a haystack so my hair is a good test for a nourishing mask for dry and damaged hair), well as soon as I applied it the knots and birds nest dissolved away. I massaged it with my fingers first and then used a detangling comb to make sure I’d applied it evenly. No tugs or knots, it was silky smooth… unlike my legs and armpits so I left it to do it’s job whilst I sorted the rest of me out. Being in a pot it’s too easy to scoop too much out and as a little really does go a long way take care not to apply too much. So after my hair being wrapped in a towel and now looking like a scarecrow I combed it out (again no tangles) applied heat protector and blow dried it. (I didn’t apply my usual serum, leave in conditioner and blow dry lotion as I wanted to see what shine I got with this mask) As you can see in my photos my hair had a lovely shine to it and did in deed feel silky soft but not flyaway. Didn’t feel heavy or oily either that some silicone products can do. This is natural and cruelty free. I don’t think its capable of mending broken bonds due to chemical damage, only scientifically specific products made to do that like k18 and olaplex will but this is a very good mask to use along side them if your hair is that damaged. I’d never heard of BYROKKO so after some investigation they are a young Slovenia company, started in 2017 producing tanning and beauty products using high quality ingredients by a young couple called Anita & Roc and since then they have built up a reputable company so I’m very happy to recommend ☺️

3.5 stars - feels nice enough - pleasant, subtle scent - quite expensive
This hair mask is a much thicker consistency than I was expecting. I was expecting something gloopier - this actually feels more like a paste. But it's still easy to apply. The scent is subtle, which is a plus for me. I don't want to be smelling strongly of coconut. If you want a more intense fragrance, this may smell a little disappointing.Ingredients seem good quality. It's easy to use and my hair felt nice enough afterwards (and my partner said my hair smelled nice) But I was a bit underwhelmed. For the price (£17.99 with Prime delivery and then a 20% discount voucher to apply) I expected something that would make my hair feel really wow afterwards. And this is absolutely fine. It just didn't feel anything special after using it.

Leaves my hair soft and silky. Smells amazing.
I have really bad split ends, even after straightening they still look bad, and my hair looks frizzy. I was beginning to think my hair was beyond help. When I saw this hair mousse I thought it was worth a try. It comes in an easy-to-use tub which is bigger than I expected. The mask is a really nice consistency, it isn’t super thick like some, so you don’t need to use loads as it spreads well. It doesn’t feel sticky or greasy in any way. It doesn’t take long, and you don’t need to wrap in a towel like you do with oil, just apply to damp hair and leave for 10 minutes before rinsing, it smells really nice, like a fresh coconut. It rinses out easily leaving no residue. After only my first use I can see a real difference, the split ends don’t look nearly as bad, and my hair looks and feels really fresh and clean. There are no chemicals in this mask which is important to me and it hasn’t been tested on animals which is essential to me.

Okay but Nothing Special
This hair mask looked quite ordinary when I first saw it and not like a premium product. The main thing is though is that it would work well. My hair is prone to frizziness and I loved that the details stated that it could tame frizz. I also like that no parabens or sulphate were added and it contains coconut which I know is a super moisturising ingredient.I often use hair masks and the ones I prefer are the ones that you do not need to leave on your hair for too long. This one needs to be left on for ten minutes and it is suggested that you do this more than once a week. To be honest I really don’t have the time to do this too often. If you have oodles of time obviously it’s different but I never seem to have enough so even ten minutes, three times a week is too much for me.The conditioner has quite a thick consistency but was easy to apply. I combed my hair through after applying and, as my hair tangles up easily this can be an issue, but after using this mask the comb glided through which was great. My hair was easier to style and the finished result was good. There were a few flyaways but nothing major. I did find though that after a while the frizz and knots started to return so it seemed like it was good in the short term but not so good over a longer period of time.Overall, I would say that this is an okay conditioning mask but it certainly didn’t feel particularly premium. Initially my hair felt very smooth and, after drying, it was good but it didn’t last. There are definitely some plus points about this conditioning mask but unfortunately there are also some minus points too. As with all these things, I think it depends on your hair type but I have had conditioning masks from Amazon that have worked a lot better and quicker for my particular hair and they are a similar price. As I say, it may work better for other hair types but unfortunately I would not say it did ‘tame frizz’ for me anyhow.
