Very useful. Helping with ITB syndrome.
I developed an ITB syndrome in my right leg and it was causing me no end of trouble. Wouldn't have minded if it was due to running, but it was actually because I seem to have turned into an unfit, old fattie (bah humbug). Researched online and found out about foam rollers and the exercises that are done with them. Thought it would be more useful than going to the doctors only to be given ibuprofen and "walk a bit more."Bought this, wider, roller due to the reviews and as I thought it could help with my upper back stress as well as well as the leg problem. Turns out it actually works. The method of using body weight to roll the outer thigh over the roller is very painful, but with practice and the R.I.C.E. technique it has reduced the problem dramatically. I am now able to go to a gym to start strengthening the muscles and buff up for the winter.Only problem, as I'm laying on the floor every day I see the need to hoover more.Highly recommended.

This foam roller is amazing! I purchased one in australia and when I relocated to England for a few months I couldn't live without it so I purchased another one. This is a very good quality roller that keeps its shape. I am using it to for rolling my legs on all sides which has helped enormously with my plantar fasciitis issue and femoral patella mal tracking disorder. My phil recommended that I use a hard ball to loosen the muscles around my knee/thigh but was too hard on my finger joints. It was my own idea to use the roller and it's so much easier and interesting. It is very painful to start with but you breathe through and hold and work the painful areas..... Persevere...after a few days to a week the pain is almost gone. I'm going to the USA for three months and will order a third one...so worth it!!! Takes up too much space in my luggage and they are not expensive (worth it to me) so I will happily buy a third one. I have had plantar fasciitis for over two yeArs and this has helped enormously for this as I can roll my calves too. I'm not paid for my review and I can honestly say this foam roller has changed ,y life in such a positive way! I am feeling taller and looser and walking the hills. I was recommended by a yoga instructer/physiotherapist to purchase this roller and she showed me how to use it. You can find on YouTube too. She advised to get the long one and I totally agree. Don't get the shorted one. You can use it to lay your spine on for a good back and shoulder stretch too. This one is perfect... Don't compromise.

The Perfect Product
Truly Excellent!! I have suffered a great deal of pain in the lumbar region due to always being hunched over a computer both for work and then recreation. This simple device which dates back to the Tibetans I believe, is the perfect solution for self healing. The roller itself could no be better. It is the perfect length, and the perfect thickness. You are just the right height from the floor. The colour is cheerful, and the surface of the material is covered in tiny nodules which help it to grip the floor surface. I tried it on a bedroom carpet and it did not slip away at all. I am over 6 foot and well built and it takes my weight and height without problem. It is strong enough to endure and hold you, yet not so hard as to be uncomfortable to use. It is amazing light and easy to store anywhere, and not unattractive if left sitting about. Throwing it on my bed it simply looks like a long pillow.Service was VERY prompt, fast delivery, well packed and came with an A 4 sized full colour printed booklet of instructions on various exercise uses for areas of the body. Before the item arrived I also received a separate free booklet and a very polite friendly email from the sellers. Highly recommended product and seller. Owning a mail order family business it is easy to spot another company that does value customers and care.

First time user of this/Myofascial release gadget. Helped sore muscle immediately. Impressed
I got this as i heard how good it is for loosening tight muscles. It's advertised in some of my workout/weightlifting books. I looked at various types and decided to go with this as it seems the standard recommended form and the reviews suggested it worked. It arrived promptly through Prime. I was surprised to find it is so thick. I almost opted to return it without trying it out as it looks awkward and i couldn't really envision sitting on it and holding my balance. However, i was pleasantly surprised. I am slim (size 8) so this fits both my legs on it at once. I would say anyone of a more robust build would probably do well to get the longer one which i think is 36inches rather than 18. Although it could be used on one leg at a time.I begun with it under my achilles and gently and slowly rolled it up towards my knees. Ouch. I know what people mean. It's not what you expect but it does seem to press into and flatten out those muscles. My muscles were quite sore before. It can feel very uncomfortable but i am pleased to say that once i had finished and gone over them later in the day it did not feel so uncomfortable. What i also found is it provided almost instant relief for me. I had really left myself aching all over and had to skip a day of exercise the day before. I decided i would buy this as it was a perfect time to see whether it works. I can report that i felt totally fine afterwards with almost no muscle ache and was able to continue with exercise.I see this can also be used in place of a warm up session which it good for me on some days when i feel a little lazy and like taking it easy. I can basically sit and roll around for a few minutes and i'm ready to begin exercise after. It is very early to give feedback and i wouldn't normally do so until i had given it a proper trial over a period of time but i actually feel it worked well for me after one try and i would recommend it. I will update this in a few months if i have anything helpful to add. I hope this helps.
