Great knives, great price
Love these knives. Holds an edge very well. I will call attention to the difference between the Gourmet vs the Classic. Notice the steel is integrated into the handle the classic versus this product (the Gourmet). That said a $100 for the 3 knives and sharpening rod is a no brainer. Would definitely buy again.

Fabulous knives
This was a Christmas gift for my foodie recent college grad nephew. I’ve personally been a fan of Wüsthof knives for a long time. They do what I need them to which is to cut well. I like that they’re still made in Europe as opposed to china. They sharpen well and hold their edges. Good knives a one of the most important tools for cooking! And honestly IMO you really only *need* a few knives. A good chef’s knife, a good paring knife, and a serrated knife for bread/ tomatoes etc. This fits 2/3!TLDR: GREAT value

Cutting Edge!
YOU GUYS! This is an incredible value for such a powerful knife set. OF course my hubby did the research in finding this set because after months of me complaining about needing a new set of knives that can actually cut something versus squishing it as it macerates (kidding, not kidding) he found these and y'all... I can cut a friggen TOMATO with either of the two knives! I've been so accustomed to using a serated edge knife for cutting into soft fruits and veggies that I couldn't believe my eyes with how perfect each slice came out. Highly recommend this set if you're looking for an upgrade without breaking the bank. The partner that cooks in the relationship will THANK YOU! Maybe even make you a fancy dinner just because they can. ;)

Big Knife Is Solid, Little Knife Flimsy
The kitchen knife is solid, the paring knife feels too flimsy to be confident in.Grew up using my mom's Henkel chef's knife for cutting vegetables and stuff, now that I'm building out my own kitchen I decided I wanted to invest in a quality piece of steel that would last for a long time. For the $100 price tag I was hoping for a little bit more weight/heft to the chef's knife, although I'm happy with the edge and the quality of the steel. If you're price sensitive, it'd be worth to just get the chef's knife by itself.

Great set for gifting
I purchased this set of knives for my son for Christmas. He had requested new knives because he has been cooking a lot and was tired of dull knives. I searched everywhere for a good set, and I finally landed on this one. I was looking for a set that didn’t have a lot of unnecessary items like state, knives and scissors and a meat tenderizer lol. He absolutely loves this set of knives and uses them pretty much every day.

Very well made, but it came in a carton box, so no presentation!!!
I bought the set as a gift and had to keep for myself, as it did not have any presentable look. Just a carton box with the knivesWish it nad a better box, giftable look, I am sure it would sell so much betterBut great quality after all, so buy if you're keeping for personal use.

High quality
We love these knives so much that we bought another much bigger Wüsthof set. We were using another knife set before these, but that set was getting chips in the blades even though the price was the same as the Wüsthof knives. The other knife set said "Japanese steel" but then we found out they were not made in Japan, and they were definitely not high quality steel like genuine Japanese knives. Don't buy "Japanese steel" knives unless you can confirm they are actually made in Japan.
