Q: Are these light or dark gray? Do they have a stitched design line across them, or are they a plain solid design?

They are a dark gray they have no stitching across them and they are a solid plain color. Not as soft as I thought but when you use them and wash them more than two times they will become softer. I hope that helps

Don't know what that is. These are very lightweight towels, not plush, and they are smaller than most towels. But it is the kind my husband likes.
