Wireless Boat Security System

The alarm works as expected and for the price is a good choice.Downside is it is fairly cheaply made, the packing was borderline, and the instructions are pretty brief.The batteries in the door sensors and the key fob were pre-installed and a couple were dead.Nothing a trip to the hardware store won't fix, but still disturbing.Good side is it is easy to install and works as advertised. The actual alarm is louder than I expected. I was considering an external alarm module, but it is loud enough that I don't think it will be necessary.Update: I added the external alarm module as it turned out the builtin was not loud enough.2nd update: After having the unit for a while now, I find the quality is the biggest problem. It has broken twice now. Once when replacing the battery, very carefully, a wire broke off the buzzer. Easily fixed.The battery has gone out quite often on the motion sensor and has given no indication it is not working.Now this last time, it just decided to quit working. The buzzer in the keypad does not sound. The remote alarm, which I added on as an accessory, does beep when I disarm it, but nothing else seems to work.I am now in the process of looking elsewhere. An alarm that is not dependable is useless.

I went online to get a copy of the instructions in PDF so I could print it out in a decent format. It was very easy to hook up and set up the master unit. The door units I mounted on solid teak doors on the boat, then realized that they are sliding doors, so with second piece of sensor bolted on door, I could not fully open the door or removed it. I cut rectangular holes in the end of the door to mount the little detection module, after removing it's mounting tabs. I set it with plastic epoxy and then filled the gaps with teak filler. Lovely. The proximity detector I mounted off the ceiling and it works first time out. The alarm is mind bending in a confined boat. My dogs are still jumpy.

This device is poorly designed and difficult to install on you vessel. You must run a wire to a 12 V circuit in order for to work.

Works real nice on my 25 sportcraft at dock. Put a little strip on each side of the motion sensor to cut down on the field of view from motion of boat rocking on windy days. No more false alarms.

I just installed this system on my boat. So far so good. Easy to install. Installed eight sensors and controller. I will let you know if I have any problems in the future
