Gets the job done
This teapot warmer does a good job. The warmer is good quality and easy to insert and remove tea candles. It's easy to clean if you spill anything on it as well. Pretty straightforward but I would recommend this warmer.

2 for 1 deal Teapot Warmer
I was given a genie style cast iron teapot as a gift from my family but it didn't come with a warmer so I've been using some unconventional methods to keep my teapot / tea warm for longer periods of time... unfortunately I grew tired of searching for ways to keep the pot warm and eventually ran into this warmer. It doesn't say it in this sellers description but this particular warmer is a two for one deal, what do I mean? This warmer has a trivet built into the vented lid, although I've never really used it separately from the warmer itself. It matches the genie style teapot I have well and it does a very good job at evenly distributing the heat from a small tea light candle (I'm currently using IKEA brand tea light candles). You could use larger candles inside the warmer, although you really don't need too... a small tea light candle produces enough heat to keep your tea warm for at least 2-3 hours! If for any reason your warmer does get dirty and needs to be cleaned, please don't scrub the cast iron warmer with steel wool or a brillo pad; you will remove the rust resistant black coating and ruin your tea warmer... it'll be more prone to rusting afterwards! Simply use warm light soapy water with a soft cleaning brush and dry the warmer with a towel or allow it to air dry.I'm glad I brought this cast iron teapot warmer and it looks great too!

Can't go wrong with "The Ol' Dutch"
I shopped around quite a bit and settled on this cast iron beauty. There are many negative reviews for most tea warmers re: lack of air flow to keep candles lit, warmer is too deep for flame to reach pot, etc. I took a chance on "The Ol' Dutch" and am very satisfied. I'm using it for my glass Yama 5" teapot. To ensure the candle flame reaches the tea pot, I placed a small stand (for burning charcoal for incense/resins) inside for the candle to sit on and it works like a charm. (See photos) I also opted for the Stonebriar tea light candles that have a 6-hour burn time which allows me to continue to add water until my leaves are all steeped out. This thing is sturdy (I mean, cast iron), classic and just stays on my coffee table - even when not in use. Pretty sure this will last for the rest of my life, and if not, it won't break the bank to buy a replacement. Would be a great gift for tea enthusiasts for sure. I didn't know I needed it until I had one.

LOVE IT!
This thing has really surprised me! I have tried many electric ones over the years, but because of the work from home situation, I was able to give this a try and those electric ones dont even come close! I put two tea candles in it each morning and keep my tea hot from 5AM to 1PM. And I dont mean "sorta warm", as with electric warmers, nope, this is appropriate tea temp the whole time. One candle doesnt seem to do it but I do have a bigish pot of tea. I put my coffee mug on it sometimes too and its so hot it burns it a bit. Also, when Im done with tea but the candles are not done, instead of wasting them, I started putting a tea cup saucer with water and essential oil on top and it acts very quickly as a oil burner. Since you see pics, I dont have to even mention how slick the look is. Its understated, classy and feels indulgent. Love it!

Hot Tea from start to finish.
I frequent a Tea Room for tea and crumpets or scones, and was impressed by the ceramic stand under the teapot containing a small candle that kept the tea quite warm from start to finish. Since I brew a pot of tea each morning, I decided to get such a gadget for home. Since my teapot is a cast-iron Japanese pot, I wanted one that complemented the pot's green bamboo molded surface. And this is it. With this and a box of tea candles, no more frequent moves to the microwave for the last few cups. A trivet underneath protects the table surface.

Sturdiness vs Durability
I really like this. It's very durable and it does a great job of keeping the tea pot warm so I can refill my cup and enjoy warm tea. I did wish that I could have something a bit less rustic, but I knew what I was getting. The metal is nice, it is in great shape. My only complaint is that the little knobs atop the plate where you set the teapot don't make it always feel secure. Since they're round and my pot is ceramic or glass, it just feels precarious. So I didn't give it a perfect score. If I had a metal teapot, unless it were textured, I'd have the same experience. Otherwise, it's really great.

Works!
I bought this because I wanted my tea to stay warm longer. I was tired of pouring my tea from my beautiful ODI tetsubin into a glass pyrex and microwaving it to warm it up before pouring it into my tea cup. Kind of ruined the whole tea drinking ritual. So I gave this a try and I am glad I did. I prefer my tea more on the hot side — especially black teas — so I actually use two tea light candles instead of one. For green tea, I find a single candle is enough. This works and seems well made and I’m really glad I bought it. (Helpful hint: if you ever notice any rust colored discoloration anywhere on your iron teapot or warmer, just rub it with a dab of oil like olive oil like you would with cast iron cookware.)

It actually works!
I wanted a way to keep water very hot in a place without an electrical outlet. This item turned out to be an excellent way of doing that. I use three candles to keep the just off the boil water very hot, though two candles would probably be adequate. I make up the steeping pot in the kitchen, then use a matching, 20 oz. cast iron pot from the same company to hold additional hot water. Once I‘ve finished the first steep, I use the pot with the still incredibly hot water for subsequent steeps. I wouldn’t use a non-cast iron pot on it because there are bumps on the top trivet; there needs to be some weight and roughness to it to keep it in place. (I bought a stainless steel warmer for glass pots and fondue bowls). Finally, I went with 7-8 hour burning tea candles in small glass holders to keep the container wax free (both were found on Amazon).
