This unit has really helped with distance control of my errant Dobermann - walking off leash in multiple environments has become a pleasure again now that I can ensure his safety and prevent him from chasing livestock. The battery life is a little disappointing, but easy enough to re-charge. Instruction booklet is user friendly and the unit is easy to use.

This let us take our dog anywhere! She’s got such a busy nose so everything grabs her attention. We keep the simulation set between 8-16 depending on how exciting the environment is and use it like a gentle tap on the shoulder when she’s getting a little unfocused.We use the hand fab primarily, with the remote hidden in a pocket. Battery life lasts a good number of days and we forget to turn it off all the time.Please though if you get this, work with a professional for your first time. You could easily ruin your relationship with your dog if you’re using this in an unfair way!

I love that the collar bit was actually able to go small enough to fit my Bedlington!The range of the strength of corrections is massive. I keep it under 20 and that's plenty for my pup, even mostly just using the vibration.It's been a huge aid is working towards off leash! Dogtra definitely makes valuable products and they're certainly highly recommended by our trainer! They're easy to use and very durable!

This is the first time I have tried this brand and I feel like I threw my money in the garbage. Don't be me, test it immediately or just don't but it at all. Seriously, I have to shell out another 200+ bucks for a different one and I have too much integrity to try to sell this used to somebody.Inconsistent Stim: When tested on me, at a level, I will press the button and hold multiple times and get multiple stim levels. Without changing the dial, sometimes I feel it, sometimes I really feel it, and sometimes I don't feel it at all.Ineffective on Dog: My dog doesn't have short hair, but doesn't have long hair either. He doesn't feel it consistently and more often than not doesn't feel it at all.No Level Lock: The dial goes through 127 level in a single turn, so as you can imagine it's very sensitive. Because this unit lacks a lock, it will not stay where you set it. Set it to 20, walk for a few minutes, look down and now its on 30.No quick bump: Units I've used in the past have had a way to give a stim above level with a button. So if you set it to 10, there is a button that will go at 15. Handy in case the dog sees a squirrel and a 10 will no longer do. This unit does not have such feature.

Good tool for training but battery life is poor in collar , remote battery life is ok, but not great.

The battery life on the collar doesn’t last. I need to recharge it every 1-2days even with minimal use. If the collar isn’t 100% charged the hand square won’t work either. I’m 50/50 with this collar, it’s definitely better than the cheaper ones available but wouldn’t say it’s worth the +$300 price tag.
