Worth the try.
Smoked for 13 yearsStarted on the step 1 - highest (for 2 weeks) decided to drop down to step 2 (for 3weeks) then started on step 3 - lowest (for 1 week and decided I didn't need them any more) I went with how I felt. Some people may need to stay on longer. My brother quit also before me and he had been on the patches longer than I. All depends.Best place to put them in my opinion is the top of your thigh. Do not put any cream/oils onto the area and wait 10 minutes after the shower until you put on a new one. They sometimes flip up at the edges but still stick. I had no issues with them.Side effects:Itchy for the first 15 minutes then goes away.Red marks on skin, these fade. (I swap legs every day)Vivid dreams (these were super intense)Its been a total of 2.5 months and not had a smoke, I brought a vape to use. However, not felt the need to use it.If you are wanting to quit and you are questioning whether to buy these, I would say for the price they are, considering it's for your health, TRY them. It's worth the try.Kick it.UPDATE: it’s been 2 years this December (2022) and still not smoking. I tried so many times to stop smoking before using these and it didn’t work, i am so thankful I tried these.

Mixed feelings
I wasn't expecting much to start with but I was really surprised how much it actually works!I havent stopped completely when I was on them but I cut down from 7-10 a day to 2-4 without any effort. Once on the patches, I was forgetting about smoking for many hours a day. I always thought it is more of a habit but it made me realise of how much I am addicted to nicotine itself.I used the patches on and off for 4 months. 21mg works magic but gave me headaches and weird dreams. 14 mg didn't work as well as 21mg but side effects were more manageable. If I didnt put the patch on, I would instantly smoke as much as before, if not more. From beggining I had red and itchy/burning spot on the place of the patch which was going away after 15 minutes. Glue wasnt much of a problem for me, just made sure the arm was freshly washed with soap and dried. After 4 months I developed a very bad allergic reaction to any nicotine patch - red bump in the shape of the patch that doesn't go away for several days. The patches are expensive and not as effective as I would like them to be. You will still be addicted to nicotine, you're just changing the way you take the nicotine in. They won't make you stop, I don't even think they're support.. more of a deception.Overall it was an interesting experience but I am really shocked that something that gives you headaches, nicotine rush, crazy dreams, allergic reactions etc. is being sold without any medical consultation..I finally managed to stop smoking from day to day. To me - there is no other way.My advice: save your time and money, stop lying to yourself and go cold turkey.smoker of almost 20 years (average 8 / day).

Wok but don't work
Yes I could get through the day without a cigarette, just about with these. I'd probably lose 1 patch out of each box cos they came unstuck or didn't stick properly but they were still the best of the patches I tried and didn't get itchy like some others. However I was unable to stop just by using them. As soon as you take them off you have a cig so they are only ever a stay of execution. To stop completely I needed to stop putting nicotine into my body and that meant going to my local smoking clinic and getting a prescription for champix. Within 2 weeks I'd quit and that was 5 months ago and I'm still quit. Don't waste money on patches, do it properly. Champix makes you queasy (better if you take them with food) and gives you weird dreams but it does make you give up smoking. You are supposed to take them for 3 months but I stopped after 5 weeks and have been fine - it gets you over the hump.

Don’t stick and slide around
I have to agree with the most recent reviews & my feedback is that the adhesive is poor quality. I have placed these patches now on different locations each day, and it either does not stay as intended and moves around, or just falls off. The best area which I have found it on my kidney or the just below my collar bone. Any form of movement from your skin and these little buggers just slide around. When I previously quit smoking I used the other brand and those patches where stuck to you like a leech 😂 I bought 8 weeks of supply of these and I am not intending to buy any more. I will make them work somehow. The manufacturer needs to re-visit the design of the patch and the adhesive.

Just don’t think they last as long as other brands
I’ve been using these for a while during numerous attempts at stopping smoking. They suddenly put the price up on their patches by almost double the price. Yeah way to go Niquitin, although I didn’t buy any patches at the start of lockdown, I did noticed the price back then was over £20 for 1 pack and not from independent sellers but from you. Perfectly timed for when all us smokers had extra motivation to quit in the form of a deadly respiratory virus pandemic 🙄 I changed back to Nicotinell as they were better priced.Since doing so, I have realised that with niquitin patches, if I forgot how long I’d been wearing the patch, I would soon know as the cravings would hit me.With Nicotinell patches, I’ve gone way over the 24hr mark by accident without any cravings.Niquitin patches are good because they are clear and not as noticeable as other patches but they are harder and due to that, they catch when you sleep if you move in your bed and they lose their stickiness.I also have noticed that since moving to the other brand, my skin doesn’t itch where the patch is placed. I have very sensitive skin though, so these may not effect everyone like that.
