UPDATE FROM MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: it seemed to work fine after a few technical issues, but 2 days after using this product, my PS4 is slower than ever. It locks up frequently, I can't access the PlayStation Store and downloading games is a complete nightmare. Horrible performance while playing games and I keep getting prompted to update the software, even though it already has the most recent update installed (4.05). I ended up going back to my original 500GB HDD and have no issues with performance or anything else. Do not trust this product!!

I purchased this for my son for Christmas 2016. Since then he has installed 44 games and a total of 67 items resulting in 880GB of usage. The game system still works great to this day in March of 2017. I only recommend the 2TB upgrade though due to PS4 not supporting anything more than that. The OS does not support 4 or 6TB from what I have read online on other sites. We don't experience any lag or weird occurrences like I have read in other reviews. I recommend this lot to anyone who likes to download games to their system.

well alls I can say is shipping was fast very fast...I bought two sets one for myself and one for my 10 year old son...I installed them both today with no problem.. firm ware is up to date on flash drives..very happy speeds for downloads are faster and loading times are faster..great kit guys thank you very much....

Installing was difficult mainly because Sony did a update so the update on the USB drive that was sent to me did not work. It worked for a couple months, however every time I try to switch hard drives, I have to spend 15-30 minutes turning PS4 off and on to try and get my controller to connect. Now, after a couple months, I turn it on and it says I need to insert a USB with version 4.71 or above. I could try to reinstall it if I could get my controller to connect to hit "OK." I'm assuming the hard drive took a dump on me. Honestly, I would just go with an external hard drive. Switching hard drives has just been a pain and now I think I have wasted my money...Also, when using the new hard drive, the PS4 is very loud and annoying.

Although I have another product by Nyko that has been very helpful, I was not happy with the Nyko data bank. When I went to install the databank, I had been trying for about an hour to get the plastic piece that holds the hard drive to fit onto my PS4 only to realize that the piece was too small. The part that covered the PlayStation wasn't wide enough, and wouldn't slide in properly. No matter how hard I tried I was not able to properly slide the piece into place. Fortunately, I was able to return the product and get a full refund. I'm sure that I just happened to be unlucky, and that my data bank just happened to be a factory malfunction so for anyone buying this product I would still keep an open mind if you really want the extra storage on your PS4.

I purchased this 2tb hdd and case in early November and it arrived in a matter of days. Sooner than expected, if remember correctly. The installation was simple and straightforward. I haven't had any startup issues like some others have stated in other reviews. Actually went on YouTube and found an installation video that helped a lot. I would recommend this to anyone who has a PS4 with a small factory hdd. Really nice set up.

I love this. When I first installed everything I was having trouble with the USB and then just had to use my own. I told the company about it and they took care of me. I recommend them this to anyone that wants more memory on your ps4

To this day I still need to turn on the PS4 in Safe mode every single and use the Restart option to bypass the error message, even after all the patches and help I received from users (thank you though!).I dare not risk putting a new patch and restarting/losing all the data I have now.This bad boy is turned on and working for hours. The loading times are slightly better than before. Comes with instructions to set up and its own cool looking usb flash drive which I still use for other things too. Very easy you just need to know which patch to install.I highly recommend this.P.S. Readers, if you know the most recent working patch please post it for future buyers.
