Q: Could a geekworm hard drive board fit? If not, what boards could fit?

The hat would not fit how it is designed, as the pi mounts directly inside the keyboard, and the offsets that the Geekworm provides does not match the mount points inside the keyboard. It would have to be a hat that has the same holes for mounting as the raspberry pi in order to mount inside the keyboard.

Q: Can the Pi draw power from the batteries that also power the keyboard?

No, the batteries that power the keyboard are not powerful enough to run the Pi. You will need to either get a Pi battery or connect it to the external power.

Q: how hard would it be to mount a small lcd screen on it?

Depends on the size. I took mine apart some time ago and I noticed that the board contains a lot of waste or blank board.

Q: What's the compartment for that's above the touchpad (upper right)?

That's the power switch for the keyboard itself. That's separate from the power for the RasPi board itself. (tbh the keyboard running off its own batteries and really not being integrated is why I sent it back)
