Amazing color and bathroom staining abilities
I've used Manic Panic for three years but was getting tired of their color selections and mixing colors never resulted in what I wanted so I did some searching and decided to try La Riche. I bought the Dark Tulip and I absolutely love it! I have medium blonde hair that I bleached then applied the dye. The roots where I had just bleached were more of a bright pink and the middle/ends where it was previously bleached are a darker shade, like a deep cherry. I didn't have any difficulties applying it, the consistency is much like Manic Panic. I thought it was interesting though that it said it only needed to be left on for 15 minutes. I'm used to the longer times of Manic Panic so I didn't fully believe 15 minutes was enough. I probably left it on for about 25.The only con so far is how long it's taking to rinse out of my hair. I bleached my roots Tuesday. Dyed it Wednesday. It is so hot outside and I was sweating pink (which happens with Manic Panic too at first) so Thursday I sat in the shower for 10-15 minutes with my head forward just rinsing my hair and I am still sweating pink on Friday. Like I've said, I've been dying my hair for three years and I take precautions to not get dye all over the bathroom but let me tell you, this got everywhere. It stains almost instantly. Just rinsing my gloves off in the sink, any drop of diluted dye water left a stain even when I washed it away immediately. My tub is pink. I have NEVER had this happen before. I have an outdoor wedding tomorrow, I need this to stop!I'll update later when it starts to fade.

Just started using it! I am pleased so far!
After purchasing this back in March, I am finally getting around to using it for the first time.I usually use Manic Panic but i heard that this Directions brand lasts much longer! First of all, make sure the area you are dying is at least dyed blonde, my hair is a fairly light blonde and it took the color very well! 2nd WEAR gloves! This dye stains everything and anything; skin, counter tops, walls etc. Be smarter than I was and lay down some newspaper or an old towel so you dont ruin anything.3rd, i took a small amount of the actual dye and mixed it with my normal Tresemme conditioner to lighten the turquoise color to my satisfaction. I dyed my hair by myself (i did the ends of my hair for an ombre effect), but i would suggest having someone help so it can be even applied. I allowed the dye to sit on my hair for at least 20 mins before washing it out. My color turned out into this GORGEOUS mermaid green/turquoise color! I LOVE IT! When towel drying your hair, be sure to use a towel you dont care about because the dye (when wet) will get all over your towel or clothes. Obviously this dye will fade each time you wash it, so i suggest to make the color last, use a Dry Hair Shampoo spray (Tresemme, Suave, Dove all make one)- This will get you through having to wash your hair less.I will update this later to let you know how many washes it took before my hair color completely faded away.

Nice color
The color was great and very vivid. It did wash out faster than expected, but seeing this is a semi-permanent dye, it is a pretty good product. My hair is on the thick and strong side so it doesn't take color for long periods of time. I mixed it with conditioner and left it in overnight on top of silver colored hair. It faded nicely instead of turning into some murky shade and also blended well with other Directions colors when I tried experimenting with mixing colors.

Lasted well, faded beautifully
I have medium brown hair with natural highlights and did not bleach it. This still made my hair quite red (the natural highlights in my hair went super super red, so if you're blonde, it'll be very red). I used this for Halloween and actually wanted it to wash out. 3 weeks later, with absolutely no appropriate "color care", my hair is still pretty red. It wasn't *quite* a natural shade on me when it was freshly dyed, still a little on the purple-ish side of burgundy, but I got a lot of compliments on it. The braid is right after I dyed it. The Gamora/Groot photo is a few days later, and the Maleficent picture is over a week later. The fade has been pretty natural, but the blonde parts of my hair have been really holding the color. If you *want* it to wash out, manic panic is probably a better route to go, but if you want to play with red without an urgent desire to have it out, this was a fairly natural red that holds longer than manic panic and faded beautifully/true to color. It will definitely last a long time with proper color care.

Merch2rock rocks as well as Directions
I am an avid semi perm color user and I found Directions hair color the longest withstanding color with proper maintenance. I usually order a couple different colors and mix them to make my own unique color. Unfortunately, across the board of semi perm color companies, it is hard to get the exact color in the color charts as everyone has varing degree of base color. (Bleach and unbleached). My recommendation when putting a semi color over totally bleached hair is to go a shade darker than you want. These colors are all pretty bright and obviously the get lighter with time and washing. If you are putting these colors on a hair color other than blonde, I recommend the opposite advice and go a color shade lighter. In terms of Merch2rock, they stock alot of hard to find colors and there shipping time is on point. I have had shipments of hair color go missing, extremely long wait times and exploded hair dye in shipment. It was nice today to get my shipment from them in only a few days.On to trying a new color today. Rock on.
