UPDATE: I got another one this time being more careful. The bottle works well. Just take into account what I said in my original review.I had a bottle like this a while ago and loved it. Literally after opening the box, I tried to open the bottom. It was stuck, and I don't mean like a tight jar. As I kept applying more force to open it, The bottle shattered in my hands with enough explosive force to send glass flying 20 feet. My hands were cut and glass shards were everywhere. I honestly can't believe that the glass broke before it opened. After inspecting how this could be, I found the glass stuck to the silicone gasket so strongly that pulling it off required force. I'm not surprised that the compression, bonding, and friction didn't allow the bottom to spin open.Either way, be careful if it seems stuck. My hands are cut up. I'm lucky it didn't cut any tendons or ligaments. Don't let it happen to you.

It would be a nice product if it works as it was intended. If you are not careful enough, the water leaks from the bottom. There is not way to take the infuser out and drink, because the liquid will leak. The silicon wrap that supposedly will help to handle hot liquids is not enough, and if you are drinking tea, and put hot water inside, you'll have to grab the bottle from the bottom. I stopped using it and went back to my traditional tea cup with infuser.

This is well-made and feels like a good quality product. However, there is a design flaw. If you use this for real (hot) tea (not herbal tea or fruit water), you'll need to remove the tea after a few minutes of steeping (otherwise if you over-steep it gets bitter) and that's not easy to do with the infuser on the bottom and a top that can support the bottle (because it's small and has a handle hanging off it) when you put it upside down.I bought a different one with double-wall glass and a filter at the top and I like that one better. But, if you're using this for fruit water, it seems like it would be perfect.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Received this and I couldn’t open it. Figured I was too weak. Got it for a gift for my boyfriend and when he had trouble opening it I knew something was wrong. Finally got it opened up and everything seemed good. Then he went to disassemble the bottom portion and the rubber piece that helps it seal shut tore apart into tiny pieces. Of course then the whole thing leaks. Awful. Awful. Awful. Awful. Do not buy this. There are so many other products that give better results than this crappy made item.

I got my order today and did a leak test with hot water - it passed! There seems to be no leaking...as of yet. But so far, my first impression of this water bottle is very good. It is very sturdy and well built, and i'm hoping that this will last me a while. I'll continue to test how this water bottle is throughout the weak, but so far so good!edit: after I put hot water and set it on the table it broke!!!!! I had to throw it away :(

I just bought this, and after a few days of using it, I am in love. I specifically purchased this because I wanted something that allowed me to take high quality loose-leaf tea on the go while it cold brewed. This bottle encourages me to actually stay hydrated throughout the day, something I have consistently failed at. My favourite parts of this infuser are the wonderful practices of the company that make it. Grosche has fantastic initiatives including a program that for every product you purchase from them that qualifies (this is one of those) you provide five days of clean water for someone in the world. They also seem to truly believe in a sustainable company, something that is important in the products I buy. As far as the bottle itself goes, although it is made in China (designed by a Canadian company), the glass is handblown (NOT MACHINED) and of excellent quality, the stainless steel is also a plus, and the few plastic parts are all BPA free, all metal is lead free. These design features mean no nasty chemical tastes in whatever you put in the bottle, my tea always tastes like tea and the flavours remain intact!PROS:Quality construction and designTea infuser is on the bottom, which means your tea keeps infusing (especially important if you cold brew tea or infuse fruit in water)Carrying strap is extremely sturdyCompletely leak proof, it has not leaked into my messenger bag no matter what position it is in (other reviewers have commented that it does not seal without the infuser, I've never not used the infuser so this is not a problem for me)Silicone grip is very useful and has a wonderful feelFine holed infuser, which means no weird particulates in your drink of choice, even some of my finer tea leaves have not escaped into the bottleMade primarily of glass and stainless steel with a few plastic parts (again naturally lead and BPA free)Very sophisticated and artful appearanceAt a little over $22 this is a steal!CONS:The bottle does get very hot (too hot to hold) even though the glass is extremely sturdy and heat resistant, however it stands up to boiling and hot water and won't break when you put hot water into it, for me this is not a huge con as I have never been a consistent hot tea drinker, I prefer to cold brew most of my teasTaking out tea leaves can be a bit cumbersome, because the infuser is on the bottom you have to flip it over to remove old tea leaves or coffee grounds, due to the strap, the bottle does not balance upside down, this can cause some problems but for me the quality of the bottle and the fact that my cold brew tea is constantly brewing throughout the day because the infuser is on the bottom outweighs the fact that I have to juggle a bit to remove the infuser, plus I've always liked stronger tea, so I generally have emptied the bottle of liquid before I remove tea leaves anywayIt does not keep anything hot or cold for long periods of time, again I feel the quality of the product outweighs this, especially if you consume whatever is in the bottle within a certain period of time (probably within an hour or two)Overall this is a superb product which has changed my life (and blew my mind a little) thus I highly recommend it, especially if you cold brew coffee, tea, or infuse fruit in water.

I looked hard and long for a all glass water bottle that also had that feature to hold fruits. I have lots of bottles that after awhile the fruits make the plastic smell, and it's near impossible to drink without the fruits slipping into your mouth..This bottle is pretty, and the idea of the fruit holder is awesome. However the holes on the fruit container are so micro small that the flavor of the fruits don't get into the water. I've tried bruising the fruits with a fork to see if the flavor would come out, kept them soaking for hours and nothing.. I'm dissapointed, and really would return it but for the hassle..

This is a very well built bottle - the components are top quality- the stainless steel mesh inside doesn’t let the tea leaves or seeds I put in there to flavor the waterWashing machine safe and it has a rubber band around it for a better group and a corn on the cap to carry around

I've recently become obsessed with drinking tea and was told about tea bottles from a friend of mine. I decided on this one and was not disappointed. Really sturdy strong glass, easy to use, nice rubber grip to stop your hands burning when hot tea is inside and a nice handy loop ontop to carry the bottle. I will definitely use it to infuse water with fruit in the summer months. Amazing value for the quality of the bottle and the company even donate a portion of the sale to charity ❤️

excellent product

I bought two of those bottles. Both of them had their silicone seals stuck to the edge of the glass bottle. Although I was very careful, one of the seals broke when I was opening the top cap for the first time.Other than that it is OK, the glass seems to be very sturdy.

It works as it should makes lovely tea, keeps it warm while I’m out and keeps it cold if I put it in the fridge

I thought this was roughed glass and unbreakanle but it fell on a carpeted floor and broke instantly.
