TinkyadaBrown Rice Pasta, Little Dreams, 14 Ounce (Pack of 12)

We found this pasta on a trip to New York but our local groceries don't carry this specific item. Being a gluten free family for the sake of our 5 year old daughter means looking high & low for yummy gf stuff...and this is one YUMMY pasta! I LOVE that it can be used in casseroles and not break down like other brands we've tried! Also, Amazon's price is better than the local grocery...we just have to "warehouse" the extras till we eat them! The kids love the pasta shapes...gf daughter loves to eat it with olive oil and parmesan cheese. I guess it's HER version of Mac & cheese--she like FLAVORFUL things!One thing I do with all Tinkyada pastas is cook them for 18-20 minutes. Both kids like their pasta on the softer side. I do have to watch the pot and add more water sometimes! And be sure to rinse it well & add oil right away so it doesn't stick together. We LOVE this stuff..... :o)

The first time I ever had Tinkyada pasta, I asked the person who brought the dish THREE TIMES if it was *really* gluten-free. My husband freaked out when he saw me eating the pasta salad, because he'd had it and was sure it was regular wheat pasta. It's no more difficult to cook than conventional wheat pasta either.But best of all, the Little Dreams shapes are wonderful for kids! Airplanes, cars, stars, animals... GF kids don't have to miss out on the fun. On the contrary, they're having a ball while the regular wheat-eaters are getting bored with their ABC's. I've never had any trouble feeding this pasta to (gluten-eating) guests, either; kids and adults alike find it as tasty and fun as anything.

I love all Tinkyada's brown rice pasta, but these are my absolute faves! There's something about the shapes that makes them stay firmer (as in reheated leftovers) than the other shapes like the spirals or fettuccine. And the tiny spaces in the shapes hold pasta sauce really well. And who doesn't like to see shooting stars and bunny rabbits in their pasta?

Because of the shape of this pasta, when it cooks it has a much better texture than the other varieties of Tinkyada pasta do. I'd say that it's the closest you can get to "regular" (durum semonila) pasta. This is my all-time favorite rice pasta, hands down.

We love Tinyada noodles! These have supoer fun shapes and a great taste. I like that Tinyada specialize in rice noodles, so there is no worry about cross-contamination.

My son has crohns disease and due to that he can only eat rice and drink neocate. He loves all tynkiada products!

I am sure this product is intended to appeal to children but I bought it for myself, anyway (I don't have kids). I am a fan of many of the Tinkyada brown rice pastas and I was just tired of the same old shapes.These are actually recognizable shapes (there was a rabbit, some sort of car, etc.). And they hold their shapes after being cooked. Only a very few of these fell apart. The overwhelming majority remained intact. I stored about half the pasta in the refrigerator and reheated it the next day and could still recognize the shapes. (Some of the figures are pretty complex, too!)Taste- and texture-wise, this is also a great product. The Tinkyada brown rice pastas are the closest whole grain pastas, in my opinion, to the taste and texture of regular (white) pasta. Plus, they're gluten-free, if that's important to you. And, if you have something baked in mind (e.g., macaroni and cheese), these hold up well to overcooking and/or baking.So, very happy I found these. Another wonderful product from Tinkyada!

I feel I have tried every gluten-free pasta on the market and this one is by far our family favorite. I'm not a fan of corn-based pasta, as unless it's organic corn is honestly best eaten minimally (and even organic, it's a bit harder to digest and doesn't have the nutrients of brown rice). I posted a review of quinoa pasta, which I love from a nutritional standpoint but find does NOT cook up well at all (too soggy, falls apart).Tinkyada has a slew of fun shapes, clean ingredients, and I find to be the most reasonable priced as well. Their bags are 14 oz., while so many gluten-free pastas come in 8 oz. boxes (not enough for a big family meal). My kids adore Little Dreams, which is particularly perfect for pasta salads as they can really pick out the various shapes. I love that they're not too babyish, and it's a good mix of gender-neutral shapes (ie. everything from teddy bears to cars).12 bags of pasta is a LOT to buy at one go, but if your kids are anything like mine, you won't have any problem using it up and can have one less thing to have to pick up at the store. This price is better than most mainstream supermarkets like Stop & Shop sell it for. While Trader Joe's has the cheapest brown rice pasta I've found, you're limited to just penne, fusilli and spaghetti (no rockets and dinosaurs!)
