Worth every penny
This is a very good safety item that is not required by USCG or DMR. I fish salt water a large Sound in a Bass Boat type boat has no sides mostly deck area. I have three girls 6,7 &12, and they often go fishing with me, and we often stay on the water several hours after dark. The kids are required to wear PFD at all times via Mississippi Law. Well I have these light attached to all three of there vest plus a whistle. I Have had very little to no problems with the lights, kids do not even pay any attention to them, and to date have been on 20+ trips. Only issue is they have two metal contacts, and if put to skin will start flashing for 5 to 10 seconds, but it does not happen enough to matter to me, and I know they working. LOOK if you going to spend $1000's on a boat, buy something like this, it may save you life. Also, we often encounter a few marine patrol offices on trips, and they almost always comment on how they wish all boaters would do this, and the officers kinda joke "well you got all that on them I guessing you have the other safety item" aka Fire Extinguisher, flairs, etc... Last two times,we were checked, I say yes and, I go to get them out to show, and they just say "it's good I believe you.".Lastly, I put these to the test we took one of the jackets was 10pm and very dark, tossed it overboard and ran on plain for about a mile, We stopped the boat, and looked around for the light, within 30 seconds I was ale to find that light flashing, and drove the boat right to it and recovered the vest and light. I was impressed for we have lost several items off the boat at night like seat floats etc, and could not find them floating even when we stopped right away.

Works well but I am worried that the batteries will ...
Works well but I am worried that the batteries will die and they will not work in an emergency. I have attached them to the life vest and stored in the console. At times when I take them out the lights are flashing so I think when the sensors touches something they light up but will turn off within a minute.

It looked fine at first
It looked fine at first.. but it blinked constantly after it came out of the package. Not sure if I missed the point with this product or what.. I was under the impression that it was water activated and only blinked .. after it had been activated by water..... It didn't come with instructions, so there was no help. Would've been a great light otherwise.

Perfect for sailing
sells for a wide range of pricing on line - vendor met "lower price"I found after I purchased it. Use it on my life jacket when sailing. It is visible for quite a distance I

It works, good price, small strobe.
Have this attached to my daughters vest. Really like it as I can change out the batteries myself when the time comes. Very easy to test every time we put her vest on. Just grab it and I know the strobe will go.

Just stuff you have to have when sailing offshore, for emergency ditchbag... hope I never need it.

Simple and effective
These are simple and effective. I dropped em in the water and it immediately started flashing Ave floated to the surface. $10 is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
