This is a big replica! But I guess that’s the novelty of it. My son does magic tricks and wanted this coin, so I ordered it for him. It’s very nice and looks very real. The only thing I noticed that is different from a real coin, other than the obvious size difference, is a slight seam that runs around the perimeter of the coin, whereas the real coin has indented vertical lines. Otherwise it looks very much like real currency. This coin is fun, reasonably priced as a novelty item, and makes us laugh just looking at it. It will delight the old and the young. My son has gotten quite adept at making it disappear and reappear and I have to laugh every single time! 😊

Perfect for what I wanted and actually better quality than I thought it would be

This is a great piece of work and I use it all the time. The only drawback is when you use it a lot it loses a little bit of shine, but that is to be expected. If you own the jumbo penny than you know the less you touch it the more rustic it looks (same applies to the half dollar). Looking back I do wish the date on the coin was anything past 1970 as it is very difficult to get regular half dollar coins that date in the 60's. In all the weight is very distributed and is easily handled.

Feels like metal and is full 3 inches. Love it! Like to see a wall plaque 12 inches!
