When it comes to lighting systems, the Eiko 81147 linear fluorescent tube features a high lumen output while producing a more natural color for your home. It has a very subtle warm white color temperature of 3500K and an average life of 35,000 hours. This lamp utilizes an electronic ballast for 10 to 15 percent more energy savings! I tried the 6500K (daylight) bulbs initially and they were too blue for my taste, not to mention trying to dress under blue light makes everything look pale or zombie like. These bulbs have a CRI rating of 85 out of 100 (higher is better for natural color). The first time the bulbs come on they may appear pink or dim. Like all fluorescent bulbs, you'll have to allow them to warm up after you first install them. Afterward, they just pop on, ready to deliver bright light at the flick of the switch. Give these a try, great for bathrooms and dressing rooms.
